Raro Safari Tours offers an exciting half day adventure into the interior of the island of Rarotonga. This is MUST do tour towards the beginning of your stay on Rarotonga. The tour is a great way to really see Rarotonga, as the trucks travel mostly inland and have access to areas where only 4WDrive vehicles can go. The tour starts as soon as you are picked up from your hotel.
They visit a number of historic locations on the island. Through Avatiu Valley surrounded by mountains and great views of The Needle as well as up to the Hospital Hill with views overlooking the Western side of Rarotonga. The tour is not only fun but also educational as the drivers will talk about the history of each location which people find extremely interesting, ending it off with a delicious BBQ fish or chicken meal at the beach underneath our traditional Kikau hut while enjoying the breathtaking lagoon view.
